Did Richard III murder the Princes in the Tower?
- Definitely true No. This cannot be said from this evidence.
- Probably true No. This may reasonably be argued, but it cannot be justified on the evidence offered here.
- Possibly true Yes. The evidence of the Crowland Chronicle shows that the possibility that Richard had had the princes murdered was circulating at the time and, while the evidence here does not allow us to be more definite, it does not allow us to reject the possibility either.
- Definitely untrue No. There is no evidence here which disproves the possibility.
- Not shown by the evidence Yes. It is not proved by the evidence here; however, it is not dismissed or disproved either, and the evidence of the Crowland Chronicle shows that the possibility was being raised at the time. ‘Possibly true’ is a better judgement, but this one is acceptable too.
