Virtual classroom
Given the arguments from scripture and the natural order apparently in favour of monarchy, divine right theorists argued that all other forms of regime are perversions, lacking any legitimacy, and corruptions of the natural order. They pointed out that the Book of Genesis shows that Adam was the first husband, father, and king, and hence was the correct model for all earthly rule.
