Inequalities and Social Change in the Ancient Greek and Roman Worlds

This Topics paper will be available both to students taking History Part 1B, with 8 lectures taking place in Michaelmas Term and 8 in Lent Term (the lectures will not necessarily be given in the order given below; i.e. the course on Roman inequalities may precede the course of Greek inequalities). The paper will complement the Topics paper Ancient empires: culture and power in the ancient Mediterranean.
