Whitfield Prize shortlist includes two recent Cambridge PhD students

Congratulations to Dr Niamh Gallagher and Dr Charlie Laderman whose books produced from their Cambridge PhD dissertations have been shortlisted for the  Royal History Society's Whitfield Prize, awarded for an author’s first solely written history book on a subject within a field of British or Irish history.

Niamh turned her dissertation into Ireland and the Great War: A Social and Political History

Charlie turned his into Sharing the Burden. The Armenian Question, Humanitarian Intervention, and Anglo-American Visions of Global Order

Niamh is currently a lecturer here at the Faculty of History in modern British and Irish history

Charlie is a lecturer in international history at King's College, London.
