Chris Clark Awarded Prix Charlemagne des Médias

Sir Christopher Clark, the Regius Professor of History, was recently awarded the Prix Charlemagne des Médias. The award ceremony took place in Aachen/Aix la Chapelle in May.

The Charlemagne Medal celebrates individuals or institutions in media for notable contributions to the process of European unification and the development of European identity.

Professor Clark, a historian, author, and television presenter, received the award in recognition of his work as a historian of Europe and for his commitment to a united Europe and transatlantic relations.

Recent laureates include Timothy Garton Ash and Ian Kershaw.
