News

On 22 September 2022, the University of Cambridge shared a digest of peer-reviewed research into its historical connections to enslavement, together with a response from the Vice-Chancellor.

The Faculty of History welcomes the publication of the University's Legacies of Enslavement Report. It acknowledges the significant contributions to the work underpinning this report made by current and past colleagues in this Faculty, including Sujit Sivasundaram, Nicholas Guyatt, and Sarah Pearsall. With the rest of the University, we will reflect on its findings and engage carefully with its recommendations.

More on the inquiry can be found here, along with a short film.
