Kenneth Foo

PhD candidate in Political Thought and Intellectual History

Kenneth Foo is a PhD candidate in Political Thought and Intellectual History, and is supervised by Dr Sylvana Tomaselli. His current research focuses on the philosophical writings of William Godwin (1756-1836) and in particular his theory of crime and punishment. He is also more broadly interested in debates on the relation between inequality and unhappiness, the right to revolution and resistance, and the evolution of the justifications of punishment. 

Prior to his PhD studies at the University of Cambridge, Kenneth completed a MSc in Political Theory at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2020-2021) and a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at King's College London (2017-2020).
