Dissertation award for research on the Ottoman Hajj

The Faculty are delighted to announce that Dr Yahya Nurgat, whose PhD on ‘Space, Ritual, and Religious Experience and the Ottoman hajj’ was supervised by Dr Helen Pfeifer, has received an honourable mention in the Middle East Studies Association of North America’s Malcolm H. Kerr Dissertation Awards. We congratulate him on this prestigious award.
