Conference and Workshop Support

This fund is housed within the Faculty of History and can be applied to for conference and workshop support. The Fund only supports travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for external speakers, and grants will not exceed £1,500 for UTOs and CTOs and £1,000 for other applicants. The event must be on a historical subject. Events must be led by a member of the Faculty of History. To apply please complete the application form below and also provide a detailed statement of the aims and objectives of the event, a draft programme and a full budget showing all known expenditure and all  predicted income including delegates' fees.

Please ensure you name any speakers for which you are requesting funding and give precise costs, not rough estimates.
The Fund Managers generally expect conferences to raise some of their own income by charging registration fees.
These documents should all be e-mailed to trustfunds@hist.cam.ac.uk .

Applications received by the mid term division will be considered the same term. Applications cannot be considered outside of the managers' meetings so please apply well in advance of your event (at least two terms).

The accounts office can help with managing the financial side of your event and can also arrange for online booking for conference registration, accommodation and other related costs. Please contact the Chief Accounts Clerk on trustfunds@hist.cam.ac.uk for information.
