Modern Cultural History

Michaelmas Term 2018

The Modern Cultural History Seminar meets on Wednesdays at 5 p.m. in the Senior Parlour, Gonville Court, Gonville and Caius College.  The History Faculty’s Trevelyan Fund provides crucial and much appreciated assistance to support visits by scholars from outside Cambridge.

PETER BAILEY, University of Manitoba and Indiana University

‘The Other Captain Swing:  Eric Hobsbawm, Jazz and the English’

Professor Bailey’s talk, a joint session with the Modern British History Seminar, will take place in the Bateman Auditorium, Gonville and Caius College. 
Regular fortnightly Wednesday meetings of the Modern Cultural History Seminar will resume on 31 October in the Senior Parlour.
