How to Apply

At the University of Cambridge applications for graduate study are processed centrally by the Graduate Admissions Office. The application form and supporting documents are submitted electronically via their website and the online self-service system, though academic decisions on applications are made by the Faculty.

Choosing a Supervisor

All students who are admitted to the Faculty of History will be assigned a Supervisor to work with them and support them in their research. Your Supervisor will be an expert in their field of research and will meet with you regularly to discuss your research project.

Students may nominate a Supervisor with whom they wish to work as part of the application, though this is not required nor does it guarantee that Supervisor will agree to act as Supervisor. Students are encouraged to consult the Faculty's Academic Staff Directory and specifically the Subject Group pages to help identify a suitable supervisor.
