I completed a BA in History (2015) and MPhil in Early Modern History (2016) at Trinity Hall, Cambridge. I am now a third year PhD candidate and recipient of the Lightfoot Studentship, studying the history of Gypsies and Travellers in early modern Scotland. I am supervised by Dr Clare Jackson.
My research explores the social history of Gypsies in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Scotland. More broadly, I am interested in the history of the Reformation, marginalisation, borders, and state formation.
