Horia Teodorescu

PhD candidate in Modern European History

I am a PhD candidate in modern European history at the University of Cambridge focusing on the social, political and intellectual history of fascism in Eastern Europe. My doctoral dissertation investigates the right-wing radicalization of young intellectuals in interwar Romania and is supervised by Dr. Hubertus Jahn.

I completed my undergraduate studies in 2018 at Yale University with a BS, double majoring in History and Chemistry. Subsequently, I earned an MPhil in Modern European History from Cambridge, graduating with distinction in 2019. During my studies I have received full financial support from Yale College, the Cambridge Trust and the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council.

Modern European History, Modern Eastern European History, Fascism, History and Memory, Politics of Remembrance.

I supervise undergraduate students for Paper 18 (European History, since 1890) and Paper 25 (Central Europe in the Global 20th Century).
