Medieval Day

medieval day2 sqCambridge medievalists shared their knowledge on a wide array of GCSE to A-level topics with school teachers on Medieval Day on 26 June. In parallel sessions, fourteen medievalists spoke about British history from Alfred to Henry VII, continental history including Vikings, crusades, heretics and Black Death, and Islamic history. Providing a wealth of information on new books, debates, sources in translation for teaching, the event reflected the vibrancy of the field of medieval studies. A tour of medieval Cambridge closed the day.
