Yasuhiro Okazawa

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge and a visiting predoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. Before joining Cambridge, I studied sociology and media studies at the University of Tokyo. I am currently working on a PhD project called ‘The Scientific Rationality of Early Statistics, 1833–1877’ supervised by Prof. Simon Szreter. My research interests include modern British history; the history of human and social sciences; and media studies, including the history of reading and writing.
