Claire Burridge

I'm working on early medieval health and medicine under the supervision of Prof Rosamond McKitterick. My PhD dissertation, 'An Interdisciplinary Investigation into Carolingian Medical Knowledge and Practice', focuses on the Frankish Empire in the eighth and ninth centuries. Using both textual sources and archaeological remains, I am exploring not only the written record of medieval medicine, but also the health and lived experiences of people during this period.
