Library computers

On the right of the Library entrance is the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) area. This consists of 18 Windows computers, the primary purpose of which is to provide students with quick access to Library resources via the Newton Catalogue site. These machines are configured for web browsing only, they cannot be used for printing, word processing or any other purpose. You do not need a computer account to use the OPAC, so no log-on is necessary.

MCSA further 12 computers are located to the left of the Library reading room. These are MCS (Managed Cluster Service) machines which can be used for word processing, printing and other applications in addition to web browsing. The computer office is responsible for the hardware in this area but the software and file storage is handled centrally by the University Computing Service. For details of obtaining an MCS computer account please use the MCS website.

Wireless networks

The Faculty's wireless hotspots in the Seeley library, lobby, JCR, SCR, and all teaching, seminar and meeting rooms allow access to the University Wireless Service and eduroam services.
