One-Year Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at CRASSH and the British School at Rome

On the initiative of the Faculties of History and Classics, the Isaac
Newton Trust has generously funded a one-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship
to be held at CRASSH and the British School at Rome. Details of the post

The principal features of the post are:

 - Holder to spend 6 months at CRASSH and 6 months at the British School
at Rome pursuing research in any field of Roman and Italian studies from
pre-history to the modern day

 - Eligibility: those who have been awarded a Cambridge PhD since 1
September 2015, or who will have submitted their PhD by 1 September 2017

 - Applications by Monday 15 May 2017, to include a Research Proposal
within the broad field of Roman and Italian Studies.

 - The award from the Isaac Newton Trust is for three years in the first
instance, enabling an appointment to be made in 2017, 2018, and 2019

The post is intended to offer an opportunity to a recent or imminent
Cambridge PhD holder to develop a new programme of research using the
library, archival, archaeological and museum resources of Rome, while
preparing applications for longer-term post-doctoral research and
teaching appointments.
