Yuan Yan
Yuan is a second year PhD student in American History at Sidney Sussex College, researching U.S.-China relations in the Cold War. Her dissertation is an attempt to combine diplomatic and intellectual history, focusing on the interactions between American Sinologists and the U.S. government with respect to its China policy. She is supervised by Associate Professor William Foster and Advised by Professor Andrew Preston.
Prior to pursuing her PhD, she completed her BA in history at Sun Yat-sen University in China and MPhil in American history at Cambridge.
