Graduates
Graduate Research Day
Gonville and Caius College, 28 May 2012
The Faculty’s fourth annual Graduate Research Day is to be held on 28 May 2012. For the past four years the event has been a great success, bringing together papers by graduate students working in a wide variety of areas of historical study, and providing a professional but friendly atmosphere for discussion among graduate participants and Faculty members. Graduate students at all levels of research are warmly encouraged to attend, not only to provide constructive feedback, but also to take advantage of this unique opportunity to meet fellow students and Faculty members from different research areas. Refreshments will be on offer.
Call for Papers
Paper proposals are now invited for the 2012 Graduate Research Day, to be held on 28 May at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. Papers dealing with any aspect of history are warmly welcome. The aim of the conference is to provide Cambridge students with a positive platform for presenting their work among peers and senior members of the history faculty. Papers should be 20min in duration followed by 10min of question time. Proposals will be considered in the first instance from second and third year PhD students, but we hope to extend the call for papers to first year PhD students and MPhils if possible.
Abstracts of up to 300 words should be submitted by 23 April. Please submit abstracts, along with your name, year and college affiliation, to gradresearchday2012@gmail.com.
