Information for graduate students
This section provides information to help guide you through your graduate studies, including handbooks, information about the Faculty, who to contact, how to apply for funding and for further study, and information about graduate training.
Course Information
The M.Phil courses all last around one year. The structure and exact timings of the various M.Phil courses varies. See your handbook for course specific details. The PhD may be undertaken either full-time or part-time, with most students being full-time. It generally takes three years to complete a full-time PhD, with four years being the maximum time allowed. See the section for PhD students for more information about the PhD course.
There are around 200 current graduate students studying in the History Faculty. If you wish to communicate with your peers as a group, please use the History graduates mailing list.
