The Faculty's computer office provides IT facilities and support for graduate and undergraduate students, academic staff, administrative and support staff and the Seeley Library. The computer officers, who are also responsible for teaching room audio-visual equipment, the Faculty websites and telephone network are Judith Robb (Mon-Wed) and John Dolan.

Thu 17 May, 17.30-17.45: Jackdaw Services interrupted

Jackdaw Database Services (including @cam email directory and IP registration database) will be interrupted for about 5 minutes between 17:30 and 17:45 on Thu 17 May for a kernel patch.

Acceptable Use Guidelines

The University Information Technology Syndicate guidelines covering the use and misuse of computing facilities applies to the use of the Faculty computer network. Following these guidelines is a requirement for those who want to use the facilities within the Faculty building.

Any user who deliberately contravenes the guidelines may lose their rights to use the system on a temporary or permanent basis.

If you have any problems with the guidelines, or have a suggestion about how the system could be improved then please let the computer officers know.
