Old maps
In 2009 a pile of old teaching maps in the basement of the faculty building were found to be deteriorating due to the conditions they had been stored in. It was decided to preserve these old maps for teaching purposes, so they were digitised prior to being given away to students. The maps can be displayed by clicking on the links below.
- If viewed via the internet the maps will be rendered at medium resolution (600 dpi, 32K colours, jpg compressed).
- If viewed in the Faculty Seminar Rooms, the images will be projected at higher resolution (2400 dpi, 64K colours, uncompressed).
- To zoom in and out, hold down the Ctrl key and either use the mouse scroll wheel or the +/- keys on the keyboard.
